Evaporating breast milk?!

Okay mommy's...

Can someone put my mind to ease?!
For the last few times I've put 5oz bottles into the refrigerator for my daughter. Whenever I go to retrieve these bottles for her there happens to be mysteriously 2oz if not more missing. Am I imagining things or can breast milk evaporate?! On one hand it's pissing me off cause I'm wondering if someone in the house is using it to spice up their coffee on the other hand I'm baffled because I'm curious if it evaporates. Haven't found supporting info online, anywhere.

This is just weird. I've been pumping into bottles and placing it into the refrigerator for 15 months and I can promise you that milk doesn't evaporate. I can't believe somebody would steal food from your baby!

Mine doesn't evaporate. That's strange. Are you measuring it based off milk storage bags by any chance? And then transferring it to bottles? Because the storage bag measurements are totally off. That's the only thing I can think of.

Other than that, I think someone is using it lol.

I think someone is doctoring their coffee! It shouldnt evaporate that quickly. Fridges have dehumidifiers to deter mold and extra moisture but not in excess of 2 ounces.
