Does your LO use a lovey in their crib at night?

I received three of them at my shower and they all say 9 months plus. And they say not to leave it in the crib with baby. But isn't that the entire point of their existence?! I know my son would love it, he touches the fabric of his sleepsuit to soothe himself and loves when when touch fuzzy or soft fabric to his face. In real life, do people use these in the crib as a soother at night?

I started letting her keep the lovey in crib at 6 mos when we sleep trained. I only give it to her at bed or nap time and she clutches it and goes right to sleep 😍. Sometimes she pulls it over her face and I move it but I believe the blanket part on hers is small enough and lightweight enough combined with her size and age. I wouldn't use one that has a blanket larger than 8"x8" until older.

I've used one since my daughter was born but she's always been at arms length, even still. She puts it on her face & takes it off herself. She's 7months now.

I got two for my shower as well but LO never really cared for them. But I've made it a habit of always keeping a birp cloth hanging by the crib and as long as LO started reaching out for things he would pull it off and rub his face with it. At first I was a bit worried about it, but that's how he soothes himself and I just let it go.
