*UPDATED* 8 weeks 6 days - Age 42 - Bleeding & Cramps
**UPDATED** We do not know where or what the bleeding was caused from. It lasted a couple of days. They did another TV ultrasound and the baby was doing great. Measured back on the original due date. I do have a fibroid that is not close to the baby but it has doubled in size since the pregnancy started.**
I am 42 years old 8 weeks 6 days pregnant. I saw a strong heart beat on transvaginal ultrasound a week ago Tuesday. I had a previous pregnancy in 97-98. My son was born at 24 weeks gestation and lived for 17 days. This pregnancy has been an unexpected wanted miracle in all ways.Yesterday I had two light brown spots about the size of a quarter each accompanied with cramps. I was seen by OB. My cervix was closed tightly. They scheduled an ultrasound for tomorrow and drew blood labs as well. Today after BM (I have been constipated) I had a gush of bright red blood similar to when your period starts. The cramping started back up. I've spotted bright red all day but not enough to fill a maxi pad.OB said I could go to the ER for an ultrasound or wait until tomorrow's scheduled scan. Has anyone experienced this and continued with a successful pregnancy? I've tried to stay positive the last 48 hours but I'm feeling very heart broken.
