There are some really great organic recipes online.  A bulletin was just put out for us to stop using deet bug repellent and other products with similar ingredients.  Apparently there is proof that these products cause a ton of long term medical issues.. I've been using a homemade tick repellent that has worked wonders.  We were getting ticks everyday.  Disgusting! The one I made is also safe for animals,  children, and pregnant and nursing mothers.  Here's the recipe i used... 
                               4 ounces of water
                               2/3 ounces of witch hazel 
                               30/40 drops of geranium bourbon essential oil . Mix together and put into a worst bottle.  Use before going outdoors.  You can also use I'm furniture and other places inside the house.  
      I'm not sure if it repels all bugs,  but like I said,  it's magical as a tick repellent! Good luck ! P.s. I ordered all my supplies in Amazon and got a good amount for a very reasonable price!

I read as long as you follow the instructions on the spray and makebaure you shower off after you are do e outside you can use any kind you like. It is fine to use
