babymoon??

Question

Anyone planning on or have taken a babymoon while pregnant with mo/di twins? My family goes to Hawaii every year and I'll be 22 weeks when the trip is planned. My doctor said cut off is 24 so 22 is getting close. Any insight?

Go! Come and enjoy some time for yourselves! Even if that means being posted up by the pool/beach/spa/or hotel bed. The weather is beautiful right now and you deserve some TLC!

My dr doesn't want me flying after 24 weeks. We are going to Italy during weeks 19-20. Dr reccomended that I get and aisle seat so I can walk during the long flight and also easier to get to the bathroom. He also wants me to wear compression socks on my legs and bring snacks for the 10 hr flight. Other than that he said the 2nd trimester is the perfect time to fly. Make sure to stay hydrated.

I wasn't allowed to travel after 20 weeks with di/di twins. No complications either, I guess my Dr is just more strict. I went to Italy at 15 weeks with no major issues other than low stamina walking around and such. And I was extremely nauseous. Hawaii I might be willing to go to later on seeing as it's part of the US, good civilized healthcare. You'd be so close to viablity then that I'd want to be somewhere where they could treat preterm labor if needed. Just plan on taking it easy over there. Definitely wear compression socks on the plane! I didn't walk as much as I should have because I tried to sleep most of the flight but I did ankle pumps in my seat inbetween doseing off. Keep in mind if you have a bump, you really can't sleep in those chairs like you might normally. I like to put my head down on my tray table and that was not an option with a bump!

I went on a honey moon with di/do twins at 28 weeks! My doctor said as long as we stopped every hour for me to stretch & take it easy on the trip it would be okay!
