Should I Start Wearing Heels??

Being 5'9 has always been challenging for me when it comes to heels & although 5'9 is not really that tall, where I come from, most girls are 5'6 or shorter which makes me feel very out of place already. (Especially when all of my friends are shorter than me). I want to start wearing heels, but I really don't want to hear the "OMG you're so tall" comments or have people stare at me when I go out when wearing them because I already hear that standing flat-foot. So do you guys think I should wear heels in spite of my height????
