carpal tunnel surgery
I have a pretty physical job (I'm a server in a high end hotel in the city) and I have just been told I have carpal tunnel. I'm going to see another doctor to get more information on it in a week and a half. My thumb has been numb/tingly for a few weeks and I'm in pain all the time. Surgery hasn't come up yet but I obviously know it could maybe be an option. I've heard so many things from extremely positive to extremely negative about it so I'm just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with it. If I have to make a decision about it I want to be sure I make the right one. Like how long does recovery take if you catch it early? I just can't imagine continuing on with my job if this will only get worse. I'm only 23 so I have a long time of working before I get to take a break. Anything anyone can offer will be a help!!
