Absent boyfriend

So my boyfriend and I have talked at least through texting every single day for the past 2 years. However, for the past 2 days he hasn't talked to me at all until the last few hours. He told me he was busy running errands and lost his charger...... He could have found another charger though or gotten on a laptop and told me on messenger. I was really worried that something bad had happened to him! I just got off the phone with him and he was really defensive and had the audacity to get mad at me because I'm going out to a bar tonight with friends.
