speaking Spanish.

My fiancé is Dominican and our child will learn some of his language. I want to learn it to be able to teach my son, but more importantly so I can connect with my fiancé on a deeper level. He speaks English also, but I know it would make him the happiest in the world if I could also speak Spanish. And I want to, just don't know where to start. I took years of Spanish in private school, it was mandatory. I can pick up words and small sentences.. but that's about it. Anyone have advice on how I can learn (and it not take years and years to accomplish)?
