period on my wedding day! help!

So looking ahead to July and I am to get my period the Wednesday before our wedding on Saturday. My period lasts about 6 days unforunately. I'm on birth control pills and I've skipped periods before for a vacation. Can I make my period come the week before? Or should I just skip like I have in he past? Downside to skipping was that the next period was heavier than usual.
