my boyfriend likes to argue a lot

My boyfriend and I have went together for over eight months but recently we have been arguing so much. For the simplest things too. He has anger problems that he doesn't want to acknowledge. He verbally abuses me and I don't know what to do? I broke up with him after our last fight because he called me a bitch and I couldn't take it. Yet he's asking for another chance. What should I do????
