ultra sound results

So went to the drs today to get my ultra sound results and they said they didn't see a feral heart beat.. I told him we saw one at 7 weeks beating pretty hard. That was the 27th of last month and I got the ultra sound on the 15th of this month. Is there a way they missed it? Can they be wrong?
