Is this normal?

I had an ultrasound done at 8 weeks showing 1 baby, but I can always find 2 heartbeats between 150-160 on my home Doppler. Is that normal? Possibly an echo? I know it is not my heartbeat or the placenta.

It's not twins. They would have seen twins hun. Baby moves a lot

And you could easily be picking up on your heart beat or the sound of the placenta

I'm 27 weeks and definitely only having one baby but I have the same thing happen. On my doppler I can pick up the heart beat in completely different places during one sitting. The doctor always only finds it in one spot so I really think it's just the lower quality of at home dopplers

Home Dopplers aren't always super accurate, or baby's heart rate could be changing. I personally don't take the number into consideration. When I find it my husband always counts it himself to determine heart rate.

Home Doppler readings are very inaccurate. You really can't go by the number you find on the screen and the baby can move around. You're just finding the baby's heartbeat .  And unless you're a trained technician, there would be no way for you to be able to distinguish two Heartbeats yourself.
