diabetes and pregnancy

So....I found out today that my status might be changed from normal to high risk pregnancy because of my diabetes. I find out who tomorrow as well, if I'll restart metfor or have to take insulin shots. Apparently if I need the shots I should have started taking them a few weeks ago since the first 10weeks of development is when most vital organs are formed...l.im really at a lost... And I'm scared for not only myself but for my baby. I had been trying with my SO for 3year to convince n when we started having problems and desided to stop trying when I found out I was already pregnant ....anyone out there a diabetic and pregnant. Please help...advice..wisdom...support
