Not Affectionate Enough

Herro! So, my boyfriend has told me many times that I am not affectionate enough. Granted, I was raised by a macho father who thought love was stupid. I think he's too touchy feely and he thinks I can sometimes be a cold bitch (put in my words, he'd never call me a bitch). I'm just wondering if anyone else has been in a situation like this and whether or not it was solved and how. Because although I don't really show it too often, I do love him.
