Saturday May 13th I woke up at 12 shivering uncontrollably I was scared I could barely make it to the bathroom to pee I rushed back to the room put the heater on and wrapped in the blankets still shivering I called the advice nurse and she told me to go into the hospital just to be safe on our way to the hospital I started to stop shivering the nurse took my temp and I was running a
fever of 103 they hooked me up to monitors to see mine and the baby's heartbeat and her heartbeat was high being so close to my due date the doctor said that I would leave the hospital with the baby I was excited but scared due to the circumstances I had to wait until my fever broke which broke the 15th at night they told me we would start pitocin and around 6am my water broke around I started to dialate fast at 5cm dilated the contractions weren't as bad as I thought but I knew I would not be able to endure the pain of pushing so I opted for the epidural at 11 we started to push the nurse I had wasn't that helpful so a doctor came to help and once she came 30 mins later at 1240 my princess was born at 8lbs 6oz 19.6inches long which was a surprise because I carried small my whole
pregnancy I was up and walking holding my baby girl within the hour I felt I had an amazing delivery despite the fever a few hours later is when things got scary I wasn't able to pee on my own we had to put a catheter which was the most painful thing ever until I was able to pee on my own 5 days later I was finally home with my princess and I would do it all over again for her
