baby shower & a gender reveal party?

So my fiancé and I will be moving to FL and one month before we will be finding out the gender..we will not be here anytime before the baby is due & I would still like to do something with the family but won't be able to travel back to CT so we was thinking of having a gender reveal/baby shower?? Like I was thinking of doing a baby registry with neutral things...Is this dumb? Would it still be to early in the pregnancy I would be 5 months pregnant.... 😰 any suggestions would be great
