how long can you breastfeed for ?

i want to breastfeed until my child is 3 years old. Is that possible or no? im a new mom

I think it would be just fine for the child and have great health benefits, but honestly, you're going to be so exhausted by it that you may just want to be done around a year and a half. You may want to keep breastfeeding but the baby may up and decided to be done. Every kid is different but I would wait for that time to come before you know if you'll keep doing it. It is perfectly safe however.

I ebf my youngest until she was 18 months. I was ready to have my body back. Apparently she was ready as well because it literally took two days and she wanted no parts of me. I kind of felt used. Lol
