Where do you put your car seat?

Question

I have an older car and my babies car seat cannot be properly secured in the back middle seat, it wobbles ! The right or left side would work better but I'm not sure what side is the safest. A mommy friend I know puts hers on the left seat. If you don't use the middle seat what side do you use? Thank you.

I heard that if it doesn't work in the middle you're supposed to put it in the seat behind the driver since the driver will instinctively protect themselves if their is a car accident or danger.

My son is installed behind the passenger seat (so the right side) because I'd rather take him out of the car onto the sidewalk than into traffic.

They both have their advantages. For getting in and out of the car it's more convenient for baby to be directly behind the driver so you don't always have to walk all the way around the car. But it's also convenient to have them on the passenger side so you can reach them to give them something from the front seat while driving. I don't think there is a difference in safety, you can't control what side somebody could crash into you from.

I personally would never put a car seat in the back on the middle seat because of safety eliments and risks. I would put it behind on either side theres no law as to what sode it goes on bith are as safe but its the way its installed that matters. Do not put it in the front if you have airbags its very dangerous. I personally put my sons seat behind me as i always tend to park up my side to the curb so i avoid getting hin out on the road side this way

You can check the owners manual but either side should be okay. Mine is behind the passenger seat because I drive a truck and it barely fits there, if it was behind the driver seat then anyone remotely tall like my husband wouldn't be able to drive. I also like how I can see her better there too.

Its more for convenience as long as the carseat can be installed corrected it can go either. I prefer driver side
