Need help, anyone knows about Makena???

Ok, so this is my second pregnancy, and my first one came at 36 weeks. Because he was a premie, (with the size and weight of a full term), my ob prescribed me Makena, and told me that I'm high risk but in a low percentage of high risk, which me and husband can't understand, anyways. 
I just want to know if any of you had used or is using Makena?!? Or if you know someone who had use it and baby came ok??? 
I was reading the side effects and they are scary, miscarriage, stillbirth, preeclampsia etc, all of those terms/words that no one would like to hear while pregnant 😔.
My 1st pregnancy was healthy and good, and with thos one I thought it was same way till my ob told me about being high risk but low risk, prescribed Makena plus I'm having lots LOTS of test. All this is messing with my mind and I feel like doing nothing because I don't want to harm my baby.

I started mine las week . A little painful the next day . My doctor told me no side effects . I lost a pregnancy at 20 weeks due to my cervix opening prematurely, I'd do anything to keep this baby In as long as possible . Good luck to you & baby

I just started my Makena shots last week. So far everything is going good. I had my first son at 28 weeks so this was a no brainer for me, I HAD to get the shots. The nurse that injected me with my first one said the only side effect she has heard of ( or dealt with in that office) was a little pain or swelling at the injection site. The first shot hurt for like 3 days after. Not horrible pain just a little and mostly when I would brush up against something. If your doctor recommends it, then I say do it. The benefits far out weight the risks to me.

I will start the makena shots next week sometime because my last baby came at 35 weeks. My doc said the only side effect she's ever noticed in her patients has been maybe a little fatigue. I know two moms who have used it because of preterm labor is previous pregnancies. One of them had to be induced at 39w5d! The other got induced at 37w4d. So, from what I hear, it really helps keep a baby in! 😊 which I'm really looking forward to. Having a surprise early baby was terrifying.

I'm being considered for this shot. Our daughter was born at 32 weeks. From what my doctor has told me, there aren't any side effects. Our high risk doctor told us the same. It's apparently supposed to help in preventing pre term labor. And since we had a preemie they are strongly considering this. Where did you find the information on the side effects?

I personally don't know anything about it but there exists several research articles on it.
