Underwear and pads for after??

Maybe TMI but I never wear underwear and have basically never used pads. Any experienced mamas with recommendations for after birth? I'm also likely having a c section so underwear that won't rub the incision would be better

Tena is great. Much less bulky than Depends. I even wore them once under some yoga pants and they gave me a fantastic looking ass! You'll still bleed a lot vaginally and just wearing absorbent underwear makes life so much simpler. I couldn't wear regular heavy pads until maybe 2-3 w pp. Especially at night

I usually don't wear underwear either, so I get where youre coming from. After I had my son, I got as many of the mesh undies the hospital gives as possible. Seriously, they are amazing!

The mesh undies they give you at the hospital are great for c sections!! Or the maternity ones that are super high waisted.

The mesh panties they give you were my favorite. They allowed my incision to air out pretty well and didn't rub or put uncomfortable pressure on me. I took some home and just washed them like normal. I used always overnight pads. The hospital will show you how to use the pads with the mesh panties.

I have lived in oversized granny panties. The hospital mesh undies are amazing lol. They stretch out but they are comfy. I used regular pads I used when I have my period I got used to changing undies and pads every two hours in the hospital so they didn't get too full

I had a csection and ended up using pads with granny panties....for 5 weeks of bleedings 😭😭😭

I had 2 vaginal deliveries, one with an episiotomy and the other with a second degree tear. I hated the mesh panties and hospital pads so the second time around, I bought a multipack of microfiber cotton panties which were very comfy and held the pad nicely. For pads, in both times, I used Kotex overnight maxipads with wings. They were absorbent and didn't cause me any irritation + I never had any leakage and they stayed in place.

I had some special c section pants that didn't rub the incision and they also compressed it a little for quicker healing. They were absolutely fab. They were from Mothercare in the U.K by a brand called Blooming Marvellous. I'm sure you can get them or something similar online. My incision healed really well and very quickly.
