Pregnancy while on birth control

I found out I was pregnant about two weeks ago. I had just fished my month of birth control. I haven't had my first appointment because I have to wait until I am about 8 weeks along. I am nervous that my birth control has affected my pregnancy, has anyone here gotten pregnant while on birth control? Were there any complications?
