no whole milk ?

My son is 13 months and still breastfed. He does not want to drink anything besides water and breastmilk. I hAve tried giving him whole milk multiple times and he just isn't a fan. He would rather have water.  Anyone else in this boat ?

I'm still nursing my 14 month old son. He has tried cows milk but isn't crazy about it. He does like almond or cashew milk! I've found that the unsweetened vanilla flavors are the best. They have less sugar than cows milk, but more protein! You might try those!

It's like switching pet foods...gradually mix the new food with the old food. So start with adding 1 ounce of milk with breastmilk or formula and after a few days increase it to 2 ounces etc.

When we did the transition we did about 2 ounces of whole milk mixed with the rest of his formula and then slowly increased. We did still warm it up in his warmer and I think that eel led. Once he was 100% on whole milk we had stopped warming it up and he would drink it and look at it funny lol. So then we slowly decreased how warm it was and he eventually got the hang of it. Especially when we cut out the bottle completely. Our doc says that fat content is the most important reason why babies need whole milk, so as long as they're getting good fats and vitamins from somewhere else, don't stress too much about it!

I got my daughter to take a couple drinks by warming the milk up a bit. She usually took a sip and threw the cup as far as she could.

I just stopped breast feeding. Trying warming up the milk like you did your breast milk. In a cup of hot water. My son prefers it to be warmer than straight put of the fridge. :)
