Period really soon after miscarriage???

I just got done bleeding from an early miscarriage yesterday. I was almost 5 weeks and the miscarriage was very much like a regular period. Today I am very bloated and cramping like AF is going to come. Is this still just from miscarrying or ??? Could I be ovulating already??? Im so confused...

I finally got into the doc today and they are testing hcg levels. I have to go back on Friday and test again to confirm the miscarriage. They won't have those results until Monday. They want to ensure they go back to 0 but we were given the ok to keep TTC immediately if we want.

My dr told me that there had to be at least 12 days between the bleeding to be considered your period.

Sometimes with miscarriages, you can bleed for a few days to a week, have a break, then bleed and cramp again for another week or so. That's how mine was, I bled/ cramped for four days, nothing for five, then it came back even worse for like eight days. I thought the initial bleeding was just a short period until it started up again and hurt worse than any cramps I'd ever had so I went to an ER and found out I was pregnant and miscarrying at that point. I did some research online afterwards and found that this timeline is very common. But if you feel that something might be wrong, see your doctor. They should be continuing to check your hcg levels anyway to make sure everything is going back to normal. I'm sorry, love and feel better. 💜
