2 chamber umbilical cord?

Question

I just left my midway pregnancy sonogram and the doctor told me the baby has a 2 chamber umbilical cord instead of a 3 chamber umbilical cord... Is this something I need to worry about? Does anyone have any experience or going through the same thing? I am trying not to stress but I really am.

I haven't been through it myself but had a girlfriend that did. They had to induce her about 6 weeks early cause her baby wasn't growing. She's healthy and 18 months old now!! Your doctor will monitor you carefully!

I went to high school with 2 people that had this in addition to myself (as you know). I'm a more severe case, but both of the other 2 ladies had a pretty normal pregnancy with increased monitoring. One was full term. The other stopped growing around 36 weeks so was induced 3 weeks early I think. All were healthy. One of the babies had a blocked ureter that they didn't notice until layer, but all is well with them.

Just found out I have it too.  My Dr doesn't seem overly concerned but is having me do sn ultrasound every 3 weeks to make sure baby is growing well.  They are also sending me to a hospital with better technology to do them so they can have more accurate scans.
