Can I officially start trying?

Had my appointment today to check on my HCG after my miscarriage on the fifteenth. They've gone back down completely. She told me before that I can't try again until they've gone back down to normal. Now they have and she says to wait two months. I definitely don't think Im going to be doing that. Positive stories about trying again right away after a miscarriage and having a sticky baby?

I'm very sorry for your loss. My doctor said we could start trying again once my levels were back to 0, since my miscarriage happened early at 6 weeks and my body passed it without any complications. We tried again right away and I became pregnant on the first try. I'm now 6d/3d. Wishing you luck!

I miscarried January 8 and got pregnant again right away in February. I tracked my HCG levels with my doctor, got one regular period and tried again right after that. I'm almost 17 weeks now!

My doctor said it was safe to have sex one week after my D&E and that there is no need to wait any time after that one week window to start trying again.  She said you are fertile two weeks after procedure and that there is no hard evidence that says you have to wait.  She said couples that start trying right away and get pregnant 6 within six months of loss have a better chance at getting pregnant.

My Dr said to wait until after my first period following the procedure. That will give my body time to heal. She said sex was okay after one week of no spotting from the d&c but for my husband to wear a condom if we have sex before having my period to avoid both infection and pregnancy. She's also testing my hgc levels to go back to zero. Everyone is different but I would listen to my doctor and if I had a question I'd call and ask for clarification.

Sorry for your loss, i had a missed misscarriage is February got my period back the end of March, got pregnant in April. My Dr wanted me to wait until my period came back then gave me to ok to try again.  Haven't had my first ultrasound yet I go for my first appointment tomorrow and I'll be setting it up then. The wait is killing me, hoping for the best.

My doctor told us it was safest to try after the first cycle so your body has time to properly heal. That being said, I've heard a lot of success stories also about trying right away. Everyone's body is very different when recovering from a miscarriage. I'd probably listen to your doctor just to be safe. Just because others have success stories of trying right away doesn't mean it will workout that way for everyone and vise versa.
