A little bit of a unique situation- doula or no doula?

Ashley
Hello there. I'm in need of some advice at the moment. I am 29 weeks pregnant and a FTM. My husband and I are in a bit of a unique situation. We are from the US, but right now we are living in Abu Dhabi (my husband has a great job here). I will be delivering our son here and we have an amazing doctor at a really nice hospital.
I wasn't planning on having a doula, but now I'm starting to question that decision. I want everything to go well of course and my worry is that I will have some issues with language barriers with (not my doctor but) the hospital and nursing staff. Most of the people who work here are from all over the world and it can be difficult to communicate with each other sometimes. I worry about missing important information during labor/delivery and wonder if having a doula would be a big help of this front.
On the other hand my husband is doing tons of research on the labor/delivery front and is up for making decisions/ being a strong advocate for me.
So my question- should I go with a doula or not worry about it. I would love pros/cons, any advice, or experiences. As I get closer to delivery, I'm getting more and more worried about making the right decisions.
