Why is it so hard being with a man when he's young . 🙄 I love him to pieces and we're the same age but I feel like he has so much growing up to do and I know he will be an amazing man one day but it's just so hard for right now . I guess I just needed to vent . Is it worth being with him when he's young if you know one day he will be the man of your dreams ?

I waited it out. We got married super young (I was 20 and he was a month shy of 20). We divorced just shy of three years later because we weren't the same people anymore. I was ready to settle down young and be married, and he wasn't. He wanted the party and dating lifestyle and ended up cheating a few times and ultimately leaving. It was for the best, because he became very controlling and abusive, but it didn't make it hurt any less.

Ultimately you have to decide if it's worth it to you to stick it out and possibly be disappointed. He may turn out to be great, and I truly hope he does. But it could go the other way just as easily.

Females reach brain maturity a few years before males, typically. If he is still in his early 20's then I would give it time. I mean, you have to do what makes you happy but sometimes people jump ship on things that are worth the investment of time and patience. I think it would likely be worth giving him time.

I'm not sure how you are capable of predicting the future and know how he will be in a few years. I think it's not worth it if you have expectations and he doesn't meet them. Also I think you could run into trouble if you wait a few years and he isn't the person you expected him to be and have waited for. If he isn't the kind of guy you want, then you should leave.
