can soy delay period??

Hi ladies!!

I ve recently started the gym and have been taking a soy protein shake after my workouts! My period hasn't come and I'm normally on time.. I ve taken a pregnancy test but it was negative. So I was thinking can soy delay your period?? Should I switch to something else instead??

Also recently starting to go to the gym could do it. if your body isn't used to exercise regularly and you start working out all of a sudden, it can throw things off a bit. Happened to me! Went to the gym after 2 years, my period was late and only lasted one day... Took a bit to have it be normal again actually.

Deanna is correct. If you just started going to the gym your body is adjusting to that I missed 2 months in a row when I started working out. If it came back negative I wouldn't worry about it..it's just your body adjusting to the new life you started at the gym

Normal human consumption of soy will not effect your estrogen levels. There are lots of other foods that contain Isoflavones such as Almonds. 
In fact cows milk has actual estrogen hormones in it.
It is definitely not soy milk that's messing up your cycle.
