I would as considerately as I could explain to him the issue I'm experiencing. It can be as easy as "hey I wanted to have a conversation about sex. Recently, I haven't been able to reach climax and I was thinking we could maybe try something new." Something as simple as that doesn't have to crush his pride. You two should be able to talk about it openly and honestly. If you can't have a mature conversation about it, then I'd say you should leave.
