did I ovulate?

Question

Last month I took progesterone & Femara like my doctor ordered. I had a period, not quite sure if I ovulated.  
I had Walgreeens brand OPK and I read a lot of reviews after trying them & people were saying they ovulated but the Walgreens OPK said negative.  & that's what happened to me, everyday was a BFN.  
I went to my doctor for a follow up & he says I most likely didn't ovulate. & now wants to try another round.  
My period is over 2 weeks late.  I don't want to start another round if by some chance I'm pregnant. We had a lot of sex especially on my most fertile day.

Has anyone had this problem? I thought if you had a period, you ovulated.

did you get your period then or is it 2 weeks late? Im confused. I think you take femera on CD 3 so you have to wait for your period.

but either way you could do the pregnancy test if you are worried! can't hurt!

Thats what I thought too. My Gyne told me that...but maybe there are exceptions?
You could do a pregnancy test before starting the meds just in case.
