Would you let your bf / husband stay in contact with a ex girlfriend?

My husband knows that bothers me and he followed his ex on ig and called me a little girl for getting pissed . Yeah i don't want your past in our future so if that makes me a fucking little girl then I guess I am

My husband had only one serious girlfriend before he met me. She lives all the way in Oklahoma (where he used to live) and we live in Illinois. She had a really bad family life and just a bad life in general. They still talk sometimes when she needs help. She knows he and I are married, she never over steps those boundaries. He lets me read the messages and everything even though I don't ask. It's about trusting the man you are with. If you don't trust the person who you married, the person you vowed to love for the rest of your life then why did you marry them? For me, I'm all about trust. I'm a very trusting person. Me personally, I wouldn't get upset over it..I don't see why a lot of women do. Maybe I'm just different? Idk. But hopefully you two can find a solution to the problem.

Lmao I don't "let" my husband do anything because he's a grown ass man and can make his own decisions. He hates his exes, but I wouldn't care if he kept in touch. I'm still friends with a few of mine and it's no big deal.
They are called exes for a reason... if they wanted to be together, they would have still been together.
If  you think by controlling who your bf or husband can "be friends with" will stop them from cheating if they want to, you are sadly mistaken.

The only time it's an issue is if it's secretive... and it shouldn't have to be secretive if you trust your man.

Depends on how they broke it off and if they're mature enough to not hop in bed with someone else when the moment comes. My husband is friends with a few of his exs and he wants nothing to do with them apart from see how they're doing. But he doesn't talk to them much and I really don't care. He can have friends that are females if he  wants. I know he would never do anything with any of them.

My fiancé was married when I met him (though got divorced for reasons that had nothing to do with me) and now, he and his ex wife have no contact. At all. She sent me a friend request on Facebook, and he wasn't even a mutual friend. He knows I wouldn't like that.

Not a matter of right or wrong, it's about love and respect. If it bothers you and they don't have a child together, he should sever all ties. I'm friends with an ex, if it bothered my SO, i wouldn't think twice before ending all communications.

Yes, my husband is friends with one of his ex girlfriends on Facebook. They don't really talk much, and I trust him. He also has a child from his previous marriage, so she'll be in our lives forever. If you're insecure and don't trust your partner, then maybe you're not in the right relationship.
