Have Swimming Suits Become Sexualized Over The Years?

If you think about it, the style of swimsuits have changed within the past few decades. Have they truly become sexualized over the years? Is it that society looks at it sexually and have the makers of bikinis and one pieces conformed to society's way of thinking? I think swimsuits are just that. Swimsuits. Should I have to walk around on pins and needles in my swimsuit at a public pool or in my own backyard thinking about what other people think? What should we wear to swim? A turtleneck and sweatpants? Smh
