High Risk Buddy

TINA
So I am due Dec. 16, delivering Nov. 27. I get my cerclage on Monday. 5th pregnancy, 4th baby, 4th csection... is there any other high risk mommas out there wanting to go thru the journey delivering around the same time? I am high risk cause of incompetent cervix, previous preterm babies, thin uterus, lupus, and a clotting disorder.

Because it's my 5th, my weight, history of kidney stones during pregnancy, and I've had 4 miscarriages.

Are you high risk because its your 5th c section or other reasons?

I'm high risk as well. This will be my 5th c section. I've also had gastric bypass and last baby I had a bowl obstruction that is common from the bypass and pregnancy. They don't want baby getting too big so they (they being OB and maternal fetal specialist) are going to take baby 34-36 weeks. My actual due date is December 9th.

The baby I just had last year they took at 36 weeks. When the neonatologists did their assessment in NICU (we were there for only 2 weeks) they said he was more like 32/33 gestation. Now hes 76 percentile and been walking for 2 months. He will turn 1 on the 15th.

Oh wow! Good luck! I am always nervous about the early csection. Though it was unavoidable, my 1st, they thought I was 36 weeks, once they baby was born and they completed the assessment realized they were 3 weeks off.

I've been labeled high risk as well. Due to high blood pressure (which only happens at the OB's office) & having a 34 weeker. Supposed to start progesterone shots at 16 weeks.

I've had to do suppositories for last 3 pregnancies. I had no idea about the shots. Would have taken care of alot of mess lol

It will be injections I believe. I'm still not 100% convinced I need them. My daughter came due to my water breaking spontaneously & was completely healthy.

I'm not officially labeled high risk yet but have had two 35 weekers for no known reason and last pregnancy had marginal previa that never moved. I'm back to the OB who delivered my first (insurance changes cause me to go back and forth and this is my 4th kid) and she said we will keep a close eye on things and head to the high risk doc if needed for a consultation. I will be starting Makena shots at 16 weeks to hopefully get me past 35 weeks.

I think they are pretty much the same thing. Yes, they are done weekly from weeks 16-36.

Yea, my cervix is labeled incompetent cause I go from long and closed to labor prior to 37 weeks. They typically can't stop it. Is Makena taken weekly like 17P? or is it the same thing?

I'm high risk also! Clotting disorder. I had a DVT back in 2013 and was put on lovenox injections and will be on the injections through out my pregnancy and will also be having a scheduled c-section!
