anyone else choose adoption??

Question

Adoption is a huge descision and I know it's going to be really hard. But I'm just giving my baby the life he deserves. And the life that I had growing up I know is not what I want for him. It's going to be messy at times, but there's always ways to fix stuff. I just want to be apart of his life, and know that he is with the best family he can be.  I'm just happy I'm the one making the choices for my baby right now. I just can't go through another closed adoption again. My own life. My own adoption.

I'm so excited for this journey. And to see where it takes me and my baby :)

I gave my son up for adoption at birth 10 years ago, when I had him at 19. The adoptive couple has been amazing. He has autism, and they have spared no expense to get him therapy and counseling, put him into one-on-one classes to help him learn. They have done so much more than I ever would have been able to do for him. I have never regretted my decision (it was hard leaving the hospital without him, but I knew I was making the best decision for his future)

I gave my son to a loving family at birth almost 7 years ago. (10-14-10) He was my second child. Son had already been through it all by myself for my son who was 2 at the time. My second sons dad turned out to be a raging alcoholic and abused my first child.

Long story short it's an open adoption and I get updates and pictures of him periodically. He's already been to many vacations, Hawaii and Lego land to name a couple.

Sometimes you just can't do it yourself. Just know your child will be loved just the way you love them.
