super confused?! natural miscarriage- help please!!!

This will probably be long- first, I want to tell all you ladies who have lost a child I am truly sorry and feel for you and you're broken heart! On May 1 I was 11 weeks and started bleeding bright red, went to ER and they couldn't find the heartbeat and baby had died around 8 weeks. They sent me home to follow up with my midwife. She did not ask me if I wanted the medication, a D&C or a natural miscarriage, they just said to let it happen since I was already bleeding. On May 4 I actually miscarried the baby through the WORST pain and cramps I've ever felt, with the support of my husband by my side doing whatever he could to ease the pain. After that I saw the midwife the next day and she said it sounded like I had gotten everything out, she did a pelvic exam and said everything looks great. She said I should only bleed for a week or two and be done. Flash forward to Memorial Day weekend and I'm back in the ER with heavy bleeding and large clots, appearantly not all the tissue came out so they gave me methergine. I ended up having terrible side effects and was told to stop it. They said some residual lining was there after the meds with a follow up ultrasound but said it would prolly come out with my period. I had stopped bleeding, but this past weekend started agian, intermittently, and I've passed a few clots. Now they are saying that there is still tissue agian! 😣 my hcg is 4.1, there can't be that much!! I just need some advice or to see what you guys think! I'm so ready to move on with my life and to start feeling better! It's been over a month of this!! So any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
