1. You don't have enough self love and self respect : if you love and respect yourself, why would you let someone talk to you that way? And if you don't even love and respect yourself, why should anyone else? 
2. You don't have enough self confidence: did you honestly think that your life ended without him? Girl your life started before you met him, and you did just fine. So hold your head up and continue on your life with or without him.

I was with a guy for 4 years who told me how I am physically unattractive to him and how I am just not as good as other skinny girls. Of course he also blamed his limpyness to my chubbyness. I will skip the part about him going to jail for domestic violence.
