Birth Control causing dryness?

I've been on 3 different birth controls in the past year. I know it's supposed to thicken your cervical mucus but I mean... It's like my discharge is a thick, almost dried up lotion texture. Plus it's never enough to lubricate me, causing a lot of pain. It makes sex not worth it. As soon as I get off of it everything is fine though. Anyone else experience this?

When I was on depo I had no discharge and I was dry during sex. I'm not on any birth control now and I guess I don't get as wet and I used to before birth control. Also sometimes my labia minora has white flakiness like dead skin but it goes away on its own.

It's more than likely the pills itself, have you mentioned it to your doctor? I'm imagining you did, but I've never had that issues reoccur since I keep drinking water. Sometimes the discharge for myself is thick, but goes away, it kinda comes and goes. Maybe try a different birth control method if the pills are causing it.

To be honest, most of the time if you drink a lot of water it helps, all of mine, aside from the shot (that made me emotionally messed up). I dunno if you've tried that
