Crib transition

Last night was night one and it was a nightmare. It initially took 25 minutes for him to go to sleep and I had to be standing right there. Once he was asleep, he seemed to sleep great. Then a couple of hours later he woke up. Tried talking to him, rubbing his back and nothing helped and he refused to go back to sleep. I finally caved and put him on the floor with me and he was out for 3.5 hours until he needed a bottle. Ugh. I feel like a failure, an absolutely exhausted failure.
