I'm about to get back together with my ex although we both made mistakes. Things are still complicated but we love each other. Obviously it's not the same yet. Should I play hard to get? Or what should I do to make him want me again even more? He loves me still

Confronting the damage and starting to repair the harm done from those mistakes will be beneficial for you both. Even if you two are together or not.
