Going on vacation without kids ??

Overheard my brother saying how he'll like to go on a vacation once and awhile alone with his wife but my SIL said she would never go on vacation without her kids. What's your thoughts??

My husband and I are going to new Orleans for a week at the end of this month! Our son will almost be 11 months old. This break is much much needed. I love my little guy to death, but mommy needs some sleep and to be able to eat some hot meals and reconnect with daddy. Plus it's good for him to be able to spend time with his grandparents. Before I had him, I said I wouldn't leave him anywhere overnight until he was at least 2. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 he's had 2 sleepovers so far. I miss him like crazy when he's gone, but I know he's in good hands and I love seeing how excited he gets when he sees us.

I think it all depends on the support  system  they would  have  back home. Would i go on  a vacation alone while they are babies? Nope maybe when they are older.

My thoughts are this: at this exact moment my husband and I are on vacation in fl while our children are back home with a friend. Clearly i dont see anything wrong with people going on vacation without their kids.

I left my 14mo home with my parents so my husband and I could go to our friend's vegas wedding for a 4-day weekend. She is now 5yo and we have taken weekends away a few times. Those weekends are always so great for us. I would definitely encourage anyone who has a responsible and willing support system (like a good set of grandparents or friends) to take some time away now and then. We always take her on longer trips though because we figure if we are going to spend the $$  for a week long trip or longer then we should include her in those memories

I don't like the idea of leaving my daughter for more than a couple of days. We are currently travelling all over Europe and we have our soon to be 12 month old with us.

My child is 4 and we take him on holiday twice a year. The only holiday we plan on taking without him is our honeymoon

Depends on the age. Obviously not leaving a toddler behind but if they're preteens then why not?
