We got our ivf date

Hi ladies, so we got our date to attend fertility centre to discuss our ivf treatment and get our medication. I have the appointment on a Monday and the next day I am due my period does that mean I'll start my medication then? Or how does the process go?

Any advice on how to prepare for ivf? Starting acupuncture this week. Eating more pineapple, chicken water etc thanks in advance xx
