Bedrooms together or no?

Question

So I'm thinking seriously about putting a pocket door between my son's bedroom and my baby to be's bedroom....any thoughts?? Will this negatively affect the value of my home??
What about the whole noise factor?? My son sleeps though the garage doors opening which is super loud...not sure how he would be with a baby....im think it would just make it easier for us.

I don't think it'll negatively impact your home... but there will be a time in the future when your kids will want/need privacy. I'm foreseeing a lot of "MOOOM, MAKE HIM GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" fights. 😂 I know I needed a "safe place" when I was a hormonal pre-teen, I would have hated having that space broken by my sibling repeatedly

Seems rather pointless to me. I can't imagine it's that hard to walk in and out of the door to get to an adjacent room. But also, I feel if there was a door between my 2 kiddos rooms, my little girl would be in her brothers room often, bc I'm sure they'll be times when you forget to lock the other door. As a home buyer, I think it would devalue the house as most want more separation with less accessibility. I think as another has said, you'll only want this for so many years then you'll be pulling your hair out when they keep nagging you & screaming that the other is in their room or is listening to their conversations etc.

Honestly, it might change the value of your home. Not a lot. But it will make it seem "dated." Because it is no longer a desired feature in a home. And lots of times simple things like that are a turn off to people when looking for a home. But it is your call. It's about a 50/50 split of people who will care vs. won't care.
