Do you agree with the phrase "when that person is the one you'll feel it"

I personally don't agree because I feel like you're going to go along the line feeling like different people are the one. I feel like the one is something that has to be proven. Like if it really lasts for a lifetime. Because anything can happen at anytime, no matter how long the relationship is. How about you guys?

I never used to believe this until it happened to me.

You may think everyone before was the one but when you ACTUALLY meet him/her you're like "ohhhh!! okay!!!! I get it!" You just know.

I think the feeling IS different, BUT it's not the way you think it is. It isn't that exciting, euphoric, sex-charged happiness that a fun, new relationship gives you. That addictive feeling that makes you feel supercharged.

For me it was calm. Peace. Comfort. Dating my husband was the easiest relationship I've ever been in.

I've had a couple of good relationships, two abusuve ones (abusive in different ways) and more middle of the road ones.

My husband never made me feel ashamed or stupid. Never tried to make me feel inferior. Never belittled me in front of his friends. Never made me change the way I act. He also always treated me with love and respect. He loved showing me off. We enjoyed going out, and time with each other's friends, yet could spend expansive amounts of alone time together (and I don't mean having sex). 
 
THAT is how I knew he was the one.  That feeling.

No, I think you can find people you naturally click well with but you don't "know". A relationship, even if a good one, still takes time and effort, and if you just want a feeling to decide who you're made for you won't get far.

I didn't believe it until I met my SO. Now I know that was true for me atleast. I just know he's it. I really can't describe it.

I believe you know when you're meant to be with someone. I don't believe in "the one". I think it's absurd to believe that there's one single person in the world meant for you and not only that, that you actually met them. That's more than unlikely and nearing impossible. I think who you're "meant" to be with is not predetermined and can be anyone in the world, as long as you actually make it so.

There is more to being 'the one' than feeling right. That said, when you do meet he right person, or rather someone who could be the right Larson circumstances allowing, you will feel differently about them. You wouldn't feel that way about many people.

I had 2 serious relationships plus dated 2 others before I met DH. I fell in love in one of those relationships and I was happy and content for the most part in all of them, but I never once felt like we would last forever. It wasn't love st first sight, but I very clearly remember the point at which I knew I had found my husband. We had only been together 3months but what I felt for him was more than love and I told him that. We had both said I love you before in previous relationships but this was different. Since then we have not said I love you a lot, we say 'you are my forever person'. To us it means more. I didn't know this feeling existed until I experienced it.
