Nexplanon Implant

Sooo I just got the nexplanon implant about two weeks ago and my period ended up being about a week late. I started to spot a couple days ago and today it got kinda heavy. After going to the bathroom there was a couple of blood clots about half the size of a ping pong ball. Is this a normal thing? I've never had this happen.
