5 months pp no period

My daughter will be 6 months on the 30th and I still haven't had a period. I am breastfeeding but I work full time and pump when I'm at work and nurse on the weekends. We have started introducing puréed fruits and veggies and she sleeps through the night. At one point should I expect my period? We want to start trying for #2 in the fall but I'm afraid if I'm not on a normal schedule it will be hard to get pregnant. Any advice?
