Brown discharge

Passed week after a medium size bleed for 2 hours just brown blood coming out never even when I was bleeding red didn't I get pains or cramps. I notice it more when I'm moving around... was told it's old blood but where and why is it happening? Was told baby is okay... anybody else have this and didn't end up having a MC.
