Bad parent ?

Question

Does it make you a bad parent or less of a parent if you see your kids on the weekends due to work ? My So doesn't have the schedule to take the child to school and pick him up so weekends might be the new visitation.

No it sucks but You're trying to provide for the family. My boyfriends parents were like that, his mom was a stay at home Mom and his dad was never there because he worked all the time to provide. But he's pretty close with his dad now, and his dad helps out all the kids with whatever even thought they're all 26+ years old. I love his dad, he's awesome.

My custody was split between my parents for 7 years. I only ever saw my dad on the weekends due to the nature of my custody agreement (M-Th with my mom and F-Sun with my dad. It was hell) and also because my dad was working. My mom never worked, she just lived off my child support and money given to her by friends or family. 
My dad always did everything he could to make sure I was happy, well-fed, and well-dressed. Even though I saw him less often, he took me biking, hiking, fishing and camping when he could. 
So, no. Seeing your child less often does not make you a bad parent. As long as you make them happy and are loving and caring.
