At what point would you stop pumping?

I'm currently getting about 2 ounces total during the day between two pumpings. Starting to think it's not worth the hassle anymore. My supply had gradually decreased and I don't want the stress of trying a bunch of things to MAYBE get it back up. Just looking for opinions or personal experiences. My daughter will be 9 months on Sunday.

I was pumping everyday up until 2 months ago. I too was not getting very much milk and it was stressing me out. I just stopped because it really was not worth being frustrated. So now i send her to childcare with formula bottles. When at home i do nurse her. Im just happy that she exclusively had breastmilk her first 6 months.

Do you have to pump to send with her when you're working or just pumping to save it?

I'm so over pumping. I somehow manage to scrape together just what he needs for when I'm working. I'm planning to transition to another milk at a year and nurse when he's with me. Ideally I'd like to have some breast milk for the transition. Pumping stresses me! Ugh.

I'm getting about 8 ounces per session when I pump. For me, this is a decrease because I used to get 16 ounces (8 from each side. My supply is insane. My doctor is always floored by how much I can produce at any given time. But if you're at only 2... I'd stop. It's a lot of work

My son is primarily nursed and I used to pump for when we would go out or leave him with his grandparents. I noticed that the amount of milk that I pumped dramatically dropped at 7 months.  It just isn't worth it anymore, so I use formula when I'm unable to nurse.

I stopped at 4.5 months. My scheduling and water consumption was draining my supply. I don't feel any guilt and was happy I made it that far :D

I exclusively pumped until 7 months and my supply gradually decreased. At its peak I could produce double what he drank and still have a freezer stash for another week or two- I will then transition to formula until one year. Once I noticed I was barely getting anything (like you), I cut back on a pumping session every 4days or so, each time it would increase slightly and then wind down again. I agreed, it wasn't worth the time for the little I was getting.

At what point would you stop pumping?
