Seems like the fact that you dated someone with that name is more coincidence than anything else.  I say keep the name and lose the association, you're not naming your son after this person, and your son isn't going to want to hear he has the same name as a former boyfriend.  I think it's only weird IF you're naming your son after him (doesn't seem to be the case.) Smalm minded people will eventually forget 😉

Depends how long ago it was since you were 15, how serious the relationship was and whether you actually care what other people think.. if you both love the name then I'd say go for it a name doesn't belong to just one person hence why so many people have the same name as others 😊

its weird for me but luckily no one really knew about him except my sister bc she saw him hanging around me a lot in HS. Lol we never even kissed so i rationalized that its ok.
